Trance - The Phenom

Firstly, I am alive...just a bit busy with all the things happening in my life...
And while I am at it, I need to constantly listen to music ofcourse!
Thats what this post is about. Now I won't go bragging about the phenomenon that Trance music has been, its been hapenning for far too long for me to write about now
But yes, its definitely worth it.
I've heard a lot of people complain about the growing number of DJs and the millions of shows that are happening around the world all the time, the so called Livesets...
And I know quite a few of us actually hate them too

But quietly, I have been following it for years now (I'm so happy I caught up with it in the first place)
And every now and then you listen to something that makes you so happy...and thats what the post is about!
I had the priviledge to hear Armin Van Buuren - A State Of Trance 200 (ASOT 200)
I've been following ASOT since around number 76 (I recently laid my hand to all the numbers, all the way down to 1)
It's a liveshow running for around 4 years now...it started off pretty simple, but it's almost been a movement on its own!
A lot of credit must go to the man, Armin, for making time to compose and select his tracks every week (quite a few new ones, thats what the show is about), coz he manages to find time from his schedule to run a show like this, and it has been free until recently...
ASOT 200, was perhaps the perfect celebration of his show and its progress for the 4 years of its running!
More than 50 top tracks, some all the way from 1998, played one after another!
The tempo just doesn't stop...so put on the dancing shoes and let it go
Some of the transitions are awesome too, though some are taken from his old shows...but he's done a really nice job putting all these tracks in one after another.
So if you guys get a chance to hear this set, do put in the extra effort if you have to! It's been one of the best sets I've heard in a couple of years.
Till then, RESPECT
